Former Arsenal star Freddie Ljungberg says he does not regret playing professionally in America and Japan.
The 35-year old Swede joined Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders in 2009 before signing with Chicago Fire the following year. After that he had a brief stint with Scottish giants Celtic before making his way to Japan to join Shimizu S-Pulse.
It has been somewhat of a journey for Ljungberg since he left English football after a distinguished career with the Gunners and a short spell with West Ham United but he says the experience of learning new cultures means it certainly has not been wasted.
"That's what I've been doing since leaving Arsenal - I've been to America and Japan and the experience has been amazing.
"You gain a lot and it's important to me to learn from different people.""When I went to America, it was a big thing to learn about cultures and other people," he told Arsenal.com.
