Shola Ameobi admits he would love to stay with Newcastle United if the club wishes to keep him.
The 32-year old Nigerian striker is out of contract in the summer but has insisted that he would like to remain at St James' Park and extend his 14-year Magpies career if it were an option.
"I never say never in this game because I don't know what is going to happen next season, but it has been a fantastic 14 years for me here and I've loved every minute," Ameobi told The Chronicle.
"Yes, we've had our fair share of ups and downs over the years but on the main I've been overwhelmed by the support and everything that has come with playing for Newcastle United."
