Ambrosini not panicking after AC Milan mass exodus

Massimo Ambrosini is confident AC Milan isn't on the wane after a raft of player departures.

The likes of Pippo Inzaghi, Mark Van Bommel, Gennaro Gattuso, Alessandro Nesta and Gianluca Zambrotta have left at the end of their contracts.

Clarence Seedorf and Mathieu Flamini could also follow them through the exit at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

"This change that we're experiencing now is bigger than ever before," the midfielder told the Corriere dello Sport.

"Now we're at a crucial turning point - the most important one that I can remember since I've been here at Milan.

"The players that left Milan in the past all left one at a time. This time a number have left simultaneously and quality-wise those players are of a special type.

"However, Milan have shown before that they can carry on without the likes of great players like Andriy Shevchenko and Kaka. I am convinced that we will be able to continue winning."
