Massimo Ambrosini appears set to make this the last season for him at AC Milan.

Ambrosini, now 34, was hooked by coach Max Allegri for the comeback win over Lecce on the weekend as he struggled to cope against the opposition's midfield.

The veteran persuaded Milan management to give him another year last summer, but is now expected to be told he won't have his contract renewed at the end of this season.

Ambrosini isn't expected to hang up his boots and was linked with a move to the Premier League earlier this year.
