Massimo Ambrosini is convinced Ronaldinho won over AC Milan fans after Sunday's derby winner.

The midfielder said: "When Ronaldinho was first presented at the San Siro, there were 40,000 people to welcome him. We have been skeptical of his signing, it is part of Italian culture.

"But we now know his value."

Ambrosini added: "The President (Silvio Berlusconi) was happy when he came to speak to us in the changing rooms after the game. He was sincere and complimented us on our character and determination."
