AS Roma are chasing Aston Villa captain Ron Vlaar.
SportItalia says Roma chief Walter Sabatini is making a move this week for Vlaar.
Having overseen the stunning €31 million deal for Hellas Verona attacker Juan Manuel Iturbe, Sabatini is now focusing on Dutchman Vlaar.
Vlaar is inside the final year of his Villa deal and yet to discuss new terms.
The World Cup star has also been linked with Manchester United.
