Bolton Wanderers are chasing Manchester City winger Martin Petrov.
The People says Trotters boss Owen Coyle is making a bold move for Petrov - after the Bulgarian turned down a new deal with Manchester City.
Coyle has targeted the winger as part of a major summer revamp, but the Scot will have to offer a two-year deal to tempt him.
Petrov turned down a one-season extension at Eastlands, where he has been blighted by a knee injury.
Coyle would land Petrov, 31, on a free transfer, and his wage package will be costly.
