Amauri was delighted to net five goals on his Juventus debut in their 7-1 friendly victory over Serie C2 Mezzocorona.

"I have to thank my teammates who gave me the chances in front of goal," the former Palermo man said. "I linked up very well with the lads and we are already on the same wavelength and on the right track.

"I am happy to start like that because these goals can help morale. I just hope to continue like this."

Amauri had to come off in the second half after picking up a knock in a 50-50, but he insists that it's nothing to worry about.

"It wasn't a big deal," he said. "It was just a normal clash and a small cut, but nothing important."
