West Bromwich Albion midfielder Morgan Amalfitano says his move from Olympique Marseille is no step down.
Amalfitano has sacrificed Champions League football to move to the Hawthorns, but has no regrets.
"My agent told me that it was not a step back. And he was right because here it is not worse than being with a major French club.
"I'm talking about facilities, the championship, the intensity of matches," he told L'Equipe.
"And the philosophy of the game, here at West Brom, is interesting.
"I'm proving those at OM wrong who did not believe in me."
