New Tottenham coach Marcos Alvarez admits it's a dream come true to be working in the Premiership.

The 36-year-old has learnt his trade in the Spanish leagues having held coaching roles at Elche, Malaga, and latterly Sevilla, from whom he arrives at White Hart Lane with new Head Coach Juande Ramos.

Alvarez told the Spurs website: "To coach in the Premier League is a dream for me, and Spurs is one of the best teams in the country.

"This team has enough quality to improve their position in the league table, and we're certainly going to all work very hard to get back to the top."
