Alvarado could become handy Mexico international - Club America chief

Club America president Ricardo Pelaez believes Ventura Alvarado could be a very handy addition to the Mexico national team in the future.

The 22-year old defender was born in Phoenix, Arizona meaning he is eligible to represent both the USA and Mexico but Pelaez hopes he opts for the country of birth of his parents.

Pelaez said in an interview with ESPN.cm.mx that Alvarado "has many conditions and might be useful in the future (for the selection of Mexico)."

However, the Club America chief added that the US have first dismissal on the former Necaxa loanee: "if they see and anticipate (the US) they could convene and take advantage," he added.

Alvarado became a key figure in America's first team late last season, helping the Eagles to the 2014 Apertura title, and is now being considered by both the USA and Mexico national teams according to reports.
