Ventura Alvarado admits he is feeling anxious yet excited about this weekend's Liga MX Apertura finals series.
Alvarado's Club America take on Tigres UANL in Nuevo Leon before playing host at Estadio Azteca and Alvarado says there are some nerves as he prepares for just his sixth appearance of the campaign.
"I'm grateful to the entire club, to the players, my friends and to the coach," Alvarado told MLSsoccer.com.
"I feel great right now. [I'm] anxious and a little bit nervous about my first final in [the first division]. I want to play and for it to be Sunday already."
The 22-year old Arizona-born defender is eligible to represent both the USA and Mexico but suggests he has no preference as to who he plays for internationally if the opportunity was to present itself.
"I would love to play for the national team, both the US or Mexico," added Alvarado. "I'd be so happy if they called me."
