Aluko not about to jump Rangers ship

Sone Aluko says he has no intentions of leaving Rangers this summer.

The 23-year old winger is being linked with clubs in both Spain and Switzerland but says he does not want to depart Ibrox and expects to be a 'Gers player next season.

"I don't know where people get the stories linking me with other teams because it's laughable," Alukpo, who is out of contract at the end of the season, told Record Sport.

"I haven't spoken to any other club but I suppose it happens with players at Rangers, Nikica (Jelavic) was linked with a new club every day - it's a sign that you're playing well.

"Everyone wants to sort their future out but it's not something that worries me. Last summer I wanted to get back into football but I stayed calm to ensure I made the right decision.

"I've had a good season here so I won't be panicked into thinking about the summer. Of course, I'd rather be playing SPL football with Rangers next season."
