AZ Alkmaar manager Gertjan Verbeek suggests that striker Jozy Altidore has been showing plenty of progress in recent times.
The 22-year old USA international scored his 11th goal of the Dutch Eredivisie season in the weekend's 2-2 draw with Vitesse Arnhem and although Verbeek has criticised him for missing chances, he does admit he has played with more vigor in the past few months.
"I think it's a matter of time. At Valencia (in the Europa League last week) I saw at least a striker who battled more than for the winter.
"The first few months I had trouble with his experience , it took me far too long. But in recent months, he definitely progression.""He really misses opportunities," Verbeek told Voetbal International.
