Jozy Altidore had a happy start to his Dutch Eredivisie career by scoring on debut for AZ Alkmaar on Sunday.
The USA international headed home in the 80th minute as his new club defeated PSV Eindhoven 3-1 at AFAS Stadion in the season opener.
Altidore, who signed from Villarreal in July, came off the bench in the 65th minute to meet an Adam Maher cross 15 minutes later, allowing AZ to go two goals ahead prior to captain Nicklas Moisander's sending off with eight minutes remaining.
