Jozy Altidore continued his brilliant start to the season with a goal and an assist in AZ Alkmaar's 3-3 draw with RKC Waalwijk on the weekend.
The American striker scored his eighth Dutch Eredivisie goal of the season in just his seventh appearance in the 24th minute to give AZ a 2-1 lead after Waalwijk's Teddy Chevalier had cancelled out Viktor Elm's early opener. Altidore received the ball in the middle of a group of RKC defenders before weaving his way through the crowd and firing home from an angle.
The former New York Red Bull and Villarreal man then saw his side concede twice before supplying the equaliser for Adam Maher with just four minutes remaining for his third assist of the season.
The draw forced AZ down to 10th on Holland's top flight table but extended their unbeaten run at home to 26 league matches.
