Jozy Altidore has obtained a work permit, allowing him to begin his season-long loan with Hull City.

The 19-year old US international is not eligible to play for the Tigers in their season opener against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this Saturday.

Altidore was delighted with the news and shared it with the world on his Twitter page.

"Got my permit!!!! All clear to play!!'' he posted.

The forward is currently in Miami with the US national team ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Mexico.

The team will arrive in Mexico on Tuesday and face El Tri at 3pm in Azteca Stadium.
