Marc Albrighton says there's no bitterness from Leicester City aimed at former teammate N'Golo Kante.

The midfielder left the champions last week for Chelsea.

Albrighton told the Leicester Mercury: "We can only thank Kante for being with us last season and helping us achieve what we achieved. He was fantastic for us on and off the pitch.

"He is a great guy and, as players, we wish him all the best for the future. He saw his future elsewhere, away from Leicester.

"He got a good offer from Chelsea to play there. So we can only thank him because he played his part in one of the club's greatest seasons ever.

"But the players like to hear that the likes of Vardy and Mahrez are staying and want to continue what we keep achieving.

"As players that can give us a boost."
