Seattle Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid suggests Osvaldo Alonso could be in contention for this weekend's Western Conference final first leg.
The Sounders take on the Galaxy at the StubHub Center on Sunday and four-time club MVP Alonso is looking to prove his fitness after injuring his hamstring in the Conference semi-final just under a fortnight ago.
Of Alonso's chances of playing, Schmid said: "He's coming along as we expected.
"The progress is pretty much in line with no setbacks. Each day [we'll know] a little bit more.
"We're very happy with Ozzie's training. He definitely wants to play."
