Osvaldo Alonso has been named the Seattle Sounders MVP for the fourth year in a row.
The 28-year old Cuban-born midfielder was announced on Monday as the Sounders best player for season 2013 making it the fourth-straight he has been voted in for the award.
A Sounders statement read: "Seattle Sounders FC announced today that Osvaldo Alonso was named the team's 2013 Most Valuable Player. The award was voted on by his teammates.
"Alonso was selected as an MLS All-Star for the third-straight year while starting 26 games and logging 2,179 minutes. He became the first player in club history to make 110 starts, 120 appearances and log 10,000 minutes."
Since the clubs inception into MLS, Alonso has taken out four of the five MVP awards following Kasey Keller's initial win in 2009.
