Real Madrid fullback Marcos Alonso has explained why he's quitting the Spanish giants for Bolton Wanderers.
Spanish left back Alonso is joining Wanderers in a £2.2million deal after leaving Jose Mourinho's new squad and chose a move to the Reebok ahead of a crack at the Champions League with Portuguese giants Benfica.
Alonso said: "It is hard for a young player at Real Madrid, they will always buy in new players and not look at the youths. If I stayed I could have been in the reserves for years.
"There is a lot of pressure on to win trophies, so they will not give the youngsters or the reserves a chance because of that."
