Marcos Alonso admits Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge had an influence on his move to Chelsea.
The Spaniard has been one of the success stories of the season, making the left wing-back role at Stamford Bridge his own.
“I have always enjoyed my time here [in England]. The Premier League is the best league in the world and it's nice to play football here," he told talkSPORT.
“It was always an idea I had in mind and when they told me about Chelsea [being interested] – it's a team I've always loved – I used to come to watch when I was a kid.
“When I was playing for Bolton, I used to ask [Daniel] Sturridge for tickets to come to the game and obviously I didn't hesitate about coming here."
