Sydney FC striker John Aloisi believes there is much more to come from the club after an opening weekend victory over North Queensland.
The Sky Blues edged ahead and eventually won 3-2 after giving up a two-goal lead on Saturday and Aloisi, who netted twice, is confident the team can improve much further.
"For sure, we can play a lot better," he said. "The important thing was to win but we still feel as a team we can do much better.
"We felt happy with the first 20 or 30 minutes, it felt like every time we attacked we were going to cause them problems. But in the second half we didn't have enough of the ball and ended up defending.
"It was good to get the first three points under our belts. Everyone's been talking about the new season for so long, it was important we got off to a good start."
