Almunia is Arsenal fans hero

Manuel Almunia's penalty save set Arsenal up for their 2-1 victory over Tottenham.

Gunners fans sang Almunia's name after his save and at the final whistle - a further indication that he has cemented his place ahead of Jens Lehmann in the pecking order.

"I am not in the situation where I have any bad feelings towards Jens Lehmann," said Wenger. "He is a 200% professional fighter but we have three goalkeepers of top class and the two who do not play can feel that my decisions are not justified - (Lucasz) Fabianski can feel that as well. At the moment Almunia is doing very well."

Almunia will also qualify for England in the next year as he has not played for Spain - but until then he has a title race to concentrate on.
