Almeria striker Alvaro Negredo is backing former club Real Madrid to win the title this season.

Negredo is barred from playing against Real this Sunday and insists he understands the situation: "Although Barcelona has a good team with great stars, Real Madrid will win the title again. I always want Madrid to win, except against Almeria.

"I would love to face Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, a special place with special fans, but it's not to be. But I know that my Almeria teammates will do well there because we all have a great desire to win."
