Almeria have opened talks with Barcelona over a loan deal for striker Bojan Krkic.

After assuring their Primera Liga status, Almeria are now focusing on the summer market and have made a new striker signing a priority.

Canal Plus says Almeria have already made an approach to Barca for Krkic and received encouragement from their coach Pep Guardiola.

A loan deal would suit both clubs, with Krkic in need of regular first team football and Hugo Sanchez's Almeria facing the prospect of replacing star striker Alvaro Negredo, who will be sold in the close-season.
