Almeria have revealed they beat Manchester United and Juventus for Estudiantes whizkid Pablo Piatti.
"Piatti becoming UD Almeria's record signing is not vain, as the club say that Juventus and Manchester United wanted to secure the Argentinian's services as well," read a statement on the Spanish club's official website.
