Almeria coach Hugo Sanchez is shopping in the Mexican transfer market ahead of the January transfer window.
In Sanchez's sights is Toluca winger Nestor Calderon, 20, who is already part of Mexico coach Javier Aguirre's plans.
Calderon is regarded as one of the best young talents currently in Mexico and is also being watched by Sunderland.
