Almeria have clinched a deal for Cameroon midfielder Modeste M'Bami.

Released by Olympique Marseille at the end of last season, M'Bami did his preseason with Portsmouth before spending several weeks trialling with Wigan Athletic.

The midfielder rejected a short-term contract offer by the Latics last week and yesterday was finalising terms on a deal with Almeria.
