New Alloa Athletic boss Paul Hartley wants to bring Dutch winger Bobby Petta out of retirement to play with him in the Scottish third division.
Hartley retired from top level football with Aberdeen at the end of the season but was soon appointed as manager of the Wasps and now he is keen to bring the 36-year old former Celtic star back to football to help him in his quest for glory in his first season in management.
"Bobby could do a terrific job for us. He is a quality footballer, has vast experience at the highest level and his knowledge would be a massive plus," Hartley said.
"It's a signing that I'm interested in and we will meet again."
And after meeting for talks, Petta admits he is interested in Hartley's proposal.
"I hope to get back into football and the meeting with Paul was positive," he said.
"I'm only 36 and I feel I have something to offer for a couple of years."
