Allen: Spurs players anxious about Ramos plans

Tottenham coach Clive Allen admits the players are anxious about what life will be like under new manager Juande Ramos.

Allen, in charge for Sunday's defeat to Blackburn, revealed: "I've got to say the lads were absolutely fantastic in the couple of days I've been working with them. There was a real determination.

"They knew that they haven't reached their full capabilities and results reflect that. So I thought the effort and performance they put in for me deserved more than what we got."

He added that players are concerned about what is around the corner and also told the Daily Telegraph: "Of course players are anxious about the future. It's natural.

"I've sat where they are sat, many a time, when a new regime has come in, a new manager with his own ideas and beliefs and views of the type of players he wants.

"I met Juande after the game, as all the players did. He came in and spoke briefly to them. He said: 'I'll see you tomorrow morning, we start tomorrow morning', which makes sense.

"He comes with a fantastic reputation in terms of the team he built Sevilla, the success that they've achieved and obviously the style in which they play."
