Stoke have cruised through to the third round of the Carabao Cup with a 4-0 win over League One side Rochdale.

Joe Allen opened the scoring when he met Erik Pieters cross with a diving header.

Peter Crouch then doubled the Potters advantage after some neat play from Allen and Ramadan Sobhi saw him tap in from close range.

Allen then got his second of the night when he was once again set up by Pieters.

Sobhi sealed the victory with ten minutes remaining, rounding the goalkeeper after being put in one-on-one by teenager Harry Souttar.

Stoke travel to the Hawthorns on Sunday to take on West Bromwich Albion.
