Though now top of the table, AC Milan boss Max Allegri is reluctant to talk up their title chances.

"It is too early to be speaking about the Scudetto. We are only 11 matches into the season, and the table is only now forming," Allegri told Mediaset Premium after the match. "We are growing as a team, but the two injuries to our strikers will hurt us.
"We shall see how [Andrea] Pirlo is tomorrow, and hopefully we will have him back for the derby.
"We knew that Palermo came here to get points, as they are a side that have a lot of quality players. We conceded little, but maybe we allowed them to have too much of the ball.
"Every match is difficult as every team wants to claim points. In order to bring home the three points, a team needs quality, technical ability, tactics and sacrifice."
