Allegri knows Juventus fans unhappy after shock appointment

Massimiliano Allegri knows there's a section of the Juventus support unhappy with his appointment. Juve have named former AC Milan coach Allegri as Antonio Conte's replacement after his shock resignation this week.

"I understand the scepticism of the fans because in practically a day the Coach has changed at Juventus," Allegri said.

"How to win them over? With results, work, respect and professionalism. Then, the fans would have a reason to recognise me.

"I understand the importance of coaching Juventus, I did four years at Milan. I think I am ready and capable of continuing the results that Juventus have had over the last three years.

"Maybe I can even look to improve them.

"Regarding the fans, I repeat, it's normal that at the moment there is a reaction to the change in Coach.

"Even more so because Antonio Conte represented more than just a Coach in the last three years. He represented a lot for Juventus, both as a player and Coach.
