Allegri admits Pato confusion affected derby preparations for AC Milan
AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri felt a confusing week influenced their derby defeat to Inter Milan.
Allegri admits the lead-up to this clash was not the best for Milan, as on Thursday Alexandre Pato rejected a €35m transfer to PSG, destroying the bid for Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez.
“It was a chaotic week, an unnecessarily chaotic one. Up until a few hours ago we were top of the table, yet the media painted it as if Milan had a thousand and one problems. The Rossoneri will continue to fight for the Scudetto till the end.
“It was a decision made by the club and Pato. I never said I wanted to send Pato away, especially as we had already lost Antonio Cassano, so Tevez was meant to replace Cassano.
“Is it over for Tevez? I don’t know, you’d have to ask the club.
“Now I have to put together the few midfielders I have left for the next game.”

First of all congratulations on such a brilliant website.
We (Fresh Football) are a football site, launched last week. http://freshfootball.co.uk - with a high quality design and 30 people working for us, we are aiming to create a diversification from other football sites, but one which can compete. After 3 days of being live, where hardly any people know about us, we have managed to attract almost 5,000 visitors and 15,000 hits. We think the site has potential to be huge, after getting great feedback from our viewers.
We would like to investiage the possibility of partnering with you guys? A small ad on each site for each other could benefit both, as I feel it would benefit us both.
