Allegri admits being 'angry' during Juventus victory

Juventus coach Max Allegri was frustrated after victory at Sampdoria.

Juan Cuadrado's diving header proved the only goal of the game.

Allegri said, “I got angry because in those situations you just need to be organised, keep your shape and play on the counter when the opposition is forced to take the initiative.

“In the first half they went down five times and we put the ball out of play for treatment, then as soon as they came back in, they didn't give it back. You've got to learn quickly, then!

“If one of our players is down, put the ball out. Fair play is all well and good, but there's no need to be naïve, otherwise you may as well go on the PlayStation.

“These three points are a step forward, it was important to win today because after the break for international duty we've got a really tough fixture list.

“The lads had one of our best first half performances of the season, playing well and creating many chances, but we couldn't maintain the tempo and were disorganised in the second half."
