AC Milan's under pressure coach Max Allegri says the club must get over the sale of their big name players in the summer.

Milan lost again yesterday to Udinese.

Allegri said: "We need to improve, of course, but above all I am disappointed to keep hearing top players have left. They're not here and we have constructed a squad capable of finishing in the top three and getting through the Champions League group.

"The summer did see many changes, so it will take time to gel this new team. We are not conceding goals on the counter-attack like we did against Real Madrid, but do keep making mistakes when marking from set pieces."
