West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has urged fans to embrace their move to the Olympic Stadium.

Allardyce wrote in the London Evening Standard: "The news today that West Ham have been confirmed as the Olympic Stadium's anchor tenant is one of the biggest and most positive developments in our history.

"West Ham are a traditional, community-based club with a rich past but the opportunities to create a new legacy by moving the few miles along the road to Stratford are limitless.

"By going into the Olympic Stadium, this club have an opportunity to develop and grow bigger than they've ever been before."
