Allardyce upset over sack calls from own Everton fans

Everton boss Sam Allardyce admits a backlash from fans is difficult to take.

Everton were beaten at Burnley on Saturday, with away fans calling for Big Sam to quit.

“It's not nice," said Allardyce, who has been in charge at Goodison for 67 days. “It's not what you want to hear, but you have to accept the responsibility when you're the No 1.

"You take the good, the bad and the ugly with it. Whatever comes your way, you have to deal with it.

“I can't let it affect me either way, whether they cheer my name or boo my name. I've been around long enough to know it comes your way sometimes. You have to be big enough to ride it out."
