Sam Allardyce has told Crystal Palace to appoint Chris Wilder his successor.
The Times says Sheffield United boss Wilder, who has won back-to-back titles with Northampton Town and the Blades, is the man to replace Allardyce.
Wilder's managerial reputation has grown as a result, with bigger clubs keeping an eye on his progress as he moves up the leagues.
Allardyce quit as Palace manager last week.
