Allardyce: Test for West Ham to sustain form

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce says they now face a test to sustain their excellent form.

The 2-1 win against Manchester City on Saturday was West Ham's third in a row and cemented their place in the top four.

New signings Enner Valencia, Diafra Sakho and Alex Song have all hit the ground running at Upton Park, playing key roles in wins against Liverpool and Manchester City.

Allardyce said: "The hard thing is sustaining a run like we've been on. Generally, the club who spend the most are the ones who are better equipped to keep things going.

"We have to find out now if we can cope with the pressure that our good run brings. We've made an impact but now the players will have more scrutiny from the opposition, particularly the front two [Sakho and Valencia].

"We have to keep our feet on the ground but keep asking ourselves 'can we get better?'"
