Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce admits positive results are helping him make the changes he feels are needed inside the club.

He said: "I have torn the place apart in three months. I wanted some patience, I needed some time and the players are buying me time with results.

"We are undefeated, we have got eight points and we are not anywhere near our best yet, but what we are doing at the moment is good enough to win Premier League matches, or good enough to keep us undefeated.

"We can only get better from here if we keep on learning about each other."
