Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce stated that he had no doubts about signing Mamadou Sakho despite the defender being frozen out by Liverpool.
Having been left completely out in the cold by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp under mysterious circumstances, Sakho made a loan move to Palace during the January window and the transfer was seen by some as a slightly risky one by the Eagles.
However, Sakho has managed to impress at the heart of the Palace defence over the past two matches, helping the Eagles attain consecutive clean sheets, and Selhurst Park manager Allardyce has stated that he had no doubts about the defender despite his predicament at Liverpool.
Allardyce told The Telegraph: "As managers we deal with players in different ways.
"If I'd been harsh on Dioufy (El Hadji Diouf) with some of the antics he got up to, he'd never have played for Bolton.
"You are slightly concerned when you take a player who has been frozen out. But we knew that you don't play for Liverpool as many times as he did and become a bad player.
"Mamadou is a flamboyant character, a confident man – you can see that with his hair alone. But so far he's not turned up late or anywhere he shouldn't have."
