Sam Allardyce's name remains on the manager's office door at Wembley, according to The Sun.
The 62-year-old was sacked by the Football Association in late September, just 67 days into his tenure as Three Lions boss, following allegations of malpractice after he was involved in a sting by the Daily Telegraph.
While Gareth Southgate has taken over on an initial interim basis, the name of 'Sam Allardyce' is still on the door of the office as the FA wait to see who they appoint as his replacement.
Southgate is preparing for the third game of his four-game spell which takes place at English football's headquarters against Scotland in a World Cup qualifier on Friday night.
The former Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough defender will then oversee England in a friendly against Spain next week before the FA make their final decision.
It is understood that the association has not yet replaced Allardyce's name as they are waiting on whose name will permanently replace the ex-Sunderland, West Ham United, Blackburn rovers, Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers gaffer.
