West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is delighted to have a Brit-dominated Premier League squad.
Allardyce wrote in the London Evening Standard: "We now have one of the biggest squads of British players in the Premier League which is a change for me since, during my days at Bolton, we played on quite a few occasions without a single Brit.
"One reason for the change is foreign players aren't that much cheaper any more and although I have had great success in that market over the years, there is still an element of risk compared to players such as Andy Carroll or Stewart Downing. Even someone as experienced as Razvan Rat, 10 years at Shakhtar Donetsk, will find the pace challenging at the start."
