Sam Allardyce is happy for West Ham United's role in David Cameron's re-election as British prime minister.
Cameron made a faux pax in the build-up to the 2015 vote when he said in a speech that Conservative supporters should follow West Ham - instead of his longstanding favourites, Aston Villa.
Ahead of the two teams meeting at Villa Park, Allardyce was cheekily asked if Cameron's inadvertent switch to West Ham had actually convinced undecided voters, but he replied: "I don't know about that!
"I am not sure David Cameron is a football man to be honest.
"Obviously, it's a disappointing day for me. But a fantastic victory for the Conservatives and well deserved.
"Will he come along to the match tomorrow? Who knows? We will have to wait and see."
