Sam Allardyce is of the belief that his West Ham United squad is in a much stronger position this season.
The Hammers twice came from behind to eventually force a 2-2 draw with Hull City at the KC Stadium on Monday night and it was the influence of two summer signings which helped contribute to the point.
Firstly, Enner Valencia struck a stunning equalizer in the 50th minute before Diafra Sakho's 67th-minute effort ended up in the back of the net with help from a Curtis Davies deflection.
Allardyce also introduced Barcelona loanee Alex Song and Morgan Amalfitano, who was signed from Marseille in the summer, which prompted the following words from the Hammers boss.
"He (Valencia) worked very hard as well, him and Diafra Sakho, they were terrific in their work-rate up front and caused a lot of problems," Allardyce told Sky Sports.
"We introduced Alex Song, who will only get better with more match fitness, and Morgan Amalfitano, and we still have four injured back home.
"So I feel the squad is stronger and I just hope they go on to prove that this season and go on to deliver what we expect from them."
