Sam Allardyce is happy that his Everton side have got off on the right foot since he took over the managerial position following the sacking of Ronald Koeman.
Allardyce may not have been the fans' first choice to take over, but he has a record of getting teams out of sticky situations in the Premier League. And it appears that Everton are now looking up the table, instead of down at the drop zone.
It also helps that certain players are coming back from injury, such as Yannick Bolasie, Ross Barkley and Seamus Coleman.
Allardyce spoke about the players' fitness in an interview with TalkSport: "Yannick Bolasie is probably sooner than him, but we're pushing hard for Ross Barkley, we're pushing hard for Seamus Coleman, we're pushing hard for James McCarthy and we're pushing hard for Leighton Baines," he said.
"If I had those five players available for me… I get a little bit more excited about getting them back because you know how much quality and experience they have playing for Everton football club."
Bolasie and Coleman returning would help Everton a great deal. Bolasie is a very differnet player to most of Everton's attackers.
His directness and skillful nature would mesh with the others. Coleman is the club's best right back. And no team would say no to Ross Barkley, even one that has the likes of Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
