Allardyce eager to bring 'flair' players to West Ham

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is hoping to improve his side's Premier League standing next season by signing players with flair in the summer.

The Hammers are currently sitting 12th on the table with one fixture remaining but Allardyce is determined to push into the top half and beyond in 2014/15 and plans to do so by bringing in some skilful personnel with plenty of attacking nous.

"We need to add a bit more flair, a bit more finishing power in the final third," said Allardyce.

"You don't want to go through next season with some of the phases like this season and that boils down to making a bigger and better squad.

"As good as the players have done since I have been here sometimes that hasn't been good enough. My job is always to improve and you can't stand still in this league."

On Saturday, West Ham recorded their 11th win of the season when beating Tottenham 2-0 at Upton Park to go within three points of 11th-placed Crystal Palace.
