Sam Allardyce is determined NOT to sell Blackburn Rovers star Roque Santa Cruz.

Santa Cruz is a £20million target for Manchester City.

But Allardyce made it clear he would not move in at Ewood Park if the club were to start selling star players in the January transfer window.

An insider revealed to The Sun: "Sam is overjoyed to be back in football.

"But he wouldn't have taken the job if Blackburn planned to sell their best players.

"The board agreed and gave their assurance he keeps who he wants."
